| Ezra Jack Keats Award Grant focus: Education/Literacy Programs What is it? Ezra Jack Keats is an American author that introduced multiculturalism via children's storybooks and mosaics. He is noted for his tremendous work in the literary arts and using urban landscapes to define the American culture. As such, this mini-grant is designed for programs that focus on literacy or children's education issues. How much? The website does not list an amount for the mini-grants. How many awards?The website does not say. However, the grant is nationwide. When is the application due? March 15, 2011. How do I apply?Visit the Ezra Jack Keats website (click here) and follow the instruction. Please note that only application can be submitted per school-site or organization. Therefore, if you plan on collaborating with Ambassadors from the same school, make sure that there is only one application turned in. Interestingly enough, the site lists past project types that received the grant. Look these past project types up and use them as either inspiration or as a reference point.
