| Project Ignition Car Safety and Teen Driving Grant Grant focus: Car safety, teen drivingWhat is it? Project Ignition is a grant awarded to high schools that will promote teen driving safety through a series of service-learning projects, campaigns, and activities. This grant was created as a response to the high number of teen deaths due to automobile crashes. How much? The grant is currently set at $2,000 per award with a potential addition of $7,500. How many awards? Project Ignition will award 25 schools the minimum $2,000. 10 of these schools may receive an addition $5,000 to work on a national level and $2,500 for future work in 2012-2013. When is the application due? Applications are due November 15, 2011. How do I apply?Go to the Project Ignition website (click here) and click the "How to Apply" tab.
