Project Ignition Car Safety and Teen Driving Grant

What is it?
Project Ignition is a grant awarded to high schools that will promote teen driving safety through a series of service-learning projects, campaigns, and activities. This grant was created as a response to the high number of teen deaths due to automobile crashes.

How much?
The grant is currently set at $2,000 per award with a potential addition of $7,500.

How many awards?
Project Ignition will award 25 schools the minimum $2,000. 10 of these schools may receive an addition $5,000 to work on a national level and $2,500 for future work in 2012-2013.

When is the application due?
Applications are due November 15, 2011.

Go to the Project Ignition website (click here) and click the "How to Apply" tab. From there, read the guidelines and download the application form.
